Charles Campbell-Jones

About Me

Charles is a qualified psychodynamic psychotherapist. Psychodynamic psychotherapy is a once-weekly, open-ended modality focused on understanding the less conscious drivers of thoughts, feelings and behaviours – bringing these into awareness helps achieve a more satisfying and stable experience of life, in all its joy and pain. The therapeutic relationship is emphasised: clients are encouraged to speak as openly as possible, since it is likely that the self and interpersonal issues that brought them to therapy will also emerge "in real time." This makes the therapy more than simply a process of excavating the past. Psychodynamic psychotherapy is a significant investment – change isn't a fast or easy process – but it can be a transformative experience.

Qualifications & Experience

Charles trained at the Tavistock and WPF Therapy and is registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). He has more than five years' post-qualification experience. In addition to his private practice, Charles works as an honorary psychotherapist with Southwark PCMHT, and is working toward a qualification in Transference-Focused Psychotherapy (TFP), an adaptation of psychotherapy for personality disorders.
