Amy Launder

Amy is the Programme Lead behind MGTS. She trained at the University of Leeds, completing her Masters in Psychotherapy and Counselling in 2017. She's BACP accredited and a qualified Clinical Supervisor, working within a relational, humanistic and integrative framework.

Alongside her private practice, Amy has worked as a therapist within the NHS and as a team leader supporting placement therapists there. She's also worked in sixth form centres and local low-cost counselling services, giving her a broad view of therapy across NHS, education, and community settings.

The idea for MGTS grew out of her work supervising trainees on NHS placements, where she kept seeing clients who needed longer-term therapy with nowhere to go, alongside trainees struggling to find face-to-face placements. MGTS was built to solve both at once. As Programme Lead, Amy wants every trainee to feel MGTS is somewhere they can genuinely learn, develop and grow.

Michelle Charlesworth

Michelle is an experienced counsellor, clinical supervisor, and trauma-informed practitioner with nearly 10 years' experience working with people who have experienced trauma, and other complex emotional difficulties. Alongside her private practice, she has worked in a variety of therapeutic roles, supporting both clients and fellow professionals.

As a supervisor, she aims to create a space where therapists feel safe to think out loud, reflect honestly on their work, and explore the therapeutic relationship without fear of judgement. She sees supervision as  an opportunity to develop confidence, deepen self-awareness, and stay connected to both ourselves and our clients.

Michelle values curiosity, authenticity, and compassionate challenge, and her approach is collaborative and relational. Whether supporting trainee or experienced counsellors, her focus is on helping therapists grow in confidence, think critically about their work, and provide safe, ethical, and meaningful support to the people they work with.
