Luchie Cawood

About Me

Luchie Cawood is a second-year trainee integrative counsellor who believes in people’s capacities for growth, healing and change. Her decision to train as a therapist grew from a longstanding interest in understanding the emotional experiences that shape us and from seeing, time and again, people’s remarkable capacity for resilience, healing and change. She believes that being genuinely heard and understood can create the conditions for deeper self-awareness and lasting growth. She is committed to offering a thoughtful and compassionate space where clients can explore whatever feels important to them, whether they arrive with a clear sense of what is troubling them or simply a feeling that something in their lives no longer feels quite right.

Working integratively, Luchie draws primarily from person-centred and psychodynamic approaches, tailoring her work to each individual and their unique experiences. She works with adults experiencing a range of emotional and relational difficulties, including anxiety, loss, low self-esteem, relationship challenges and periods of change or uncertainty. She believes that taking time to understand patterns, emotions and relationships can help people develop greater self-awareness, clarity and choice in their lives.

Clients can expect a thoughtful and accepting therapeutic relationship in which they are listened to with empathy and respect. Luchie aims to offer a consistent and supportive space where thoughts, feelings, and experiences can be explored at a pace that feels right for each person. She believes that the therapeutic relationship itself can provide the basis for deeper understanding and meaningful change, helping clients to develop greater awareness of themselves and the choices available to them.
