Kirsten Edelston

About Me

Kirsten is a trainee psychodynamic counsellor who is currently working towards a BACPaccredited Level 6 Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling.

Kirsten came to train as a therapist through a curiosity about people and a belief in the importance of having a space where we can think about and make sense of our experiences. She was particularly drawn to psychodynamic therapy because of its interest in how our past experiences can shape our present relationships, feelings, and ways of being in the world.

Kirsten works collaboratively with clients to explore patterns, emotions and difficulties that may feel confusing or recurring, with the aim of developing greater understanding and self-awareness. She recognises that each person brings their own unique story and works with curiosity, openness and respect for each client’s individual process.

Before training as a counsellor, Kirsten worked in the music industry as a songwriter and singer before making the move into therapy training.
