Aletia Laird
About Me
Aletia has spent her legal career helping clients navigate significant life transitions, such as relationship breakdown and bereavement. This led to her wanting to support clients and their emotional wellbeing on a more holistic level and she is now re-training as a psychotherapist.
Aletia’s approach is firmly grounded in establishing a supportive and collaborative relationship with her clients, whether they are coming to therapy for the first time or continuing from previous experience. Having trained in integrative psychotherapy, Aletia draws on a range of psychotherapeutic approaches and tailors her work to her client’s individual needs - no two clients are the same and neither is their experience in therapy. Aletia creates space to explore how we understand ourselves and relate to the world around us, often through the lens of earlier experiences.
Therapy isn’t always linear and finding awareness and new meanings can be a challenging but life affirming experience. In the therapy room, Aletia brings warmth, curiosity and genuine authenticity to sessions and encourages clients to take their therapeutic process at their own pace.
